INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT SERVICES

POSITION: THERAPIST / PT


GTBHC’s Intensive Outpatient Program serves residents of Mercer County who are referred from Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, Short Term Care Facilities, the Screening Center and GTBHC’s Crisis Diversion and Jail Diversion programs. Referrals are accepted and consumers are contacted and scheduled to participate within 24 hours. To be eligible, consumers must have a serious and persistent mental illness, which may include a co-occurring substance abuse disorder and functional impairment in at least two life domains. Approximately 25 consumers at a time receive the full range of intensive services include a mix of skill building, therapy groups, individual therapy, family therapy and psychoeducation, medication management and case management. IOP provides continuing medication management aftercare services for approximately 40 consumers.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• LCSW or LPC preferred; LSW or MA will be considered.
• Experience working with adults with a serious and persistent mental illness
• 17.5 hours per week, including evenings.
• Use of personal vehicle may be necessary in carrying out job responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide individual, group and family counseling.
• Participate in telephonic on-call to handle referrals and emergencies.
• Complete clinical documentation.
