Dr. Amanda Clarke, MD, Psychiatry

Dr. Clarke, originally from Portland, Oregon, is a respected psychiatrist who graduated from the University of Oregon Medical School. With a strong focus on adult psychiatry, she has over 15 years of experience dealing with anxiety disorders and depression. Dr. Clarke completed her residency at Oregon Health & Science University and has since been an active member of various mental health initiatives aimed at improving community mental health services. She regularly conducts workshops and seminars to raise awareness about mental health issues.

Dr. Samuel Lee, PhD, Clinical Psychology

Dr. Samuel Lee, PhDDr. Samuel Lee is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor of Psychology at St. Catherine University, where he has been teaching since August 2023. He is involved in both the Psychology – BA (CFA) and Psychology – BA (CFW) programs, focusing on research-informed instruction and student mentorship. Dr. Lee earned his PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota, under the guidance of Dr. Nathan Kuncel. His academic background also includes a BS in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and an AA in Psychology from Normandale Community College.

Prior to joining St. Catherine University, Dr. Lee spent nearly six years teaching and conducting research at the University of Minnesota. His teaching experience spans a range of undergraduate courses, including Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, Workplace Psychology, Capstone in Psychology, and Psychological Measurement and Data Analysis. He also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of St. Thomas, where he taught General Psychology.

Dr. Lee’s professional journey includes time outside academia. He worked as a Research and Knowledge Fellow at McKinsey & Company, contributing to projects at the intersection of behavioral science and organizational strategy. His research includes a focus on equitable assessment practices, notably his work on “Prospects for Reducing Group Mean Differences on Cognitive Tests via Item Selection Strategies”, which explores bias reduction in cognitive evaluations.

In clinical practice, Dr. Lee specializes in PTSD and anxiety disorders, with a strong focus on veterans’ mental health. He integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness into trauma-informed care and continues to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams developing digital mental health tools.

Dr. Nina Patel, MD, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

A native of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Patel is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who completed her medical training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in behavioral issues and autism spectrum disorders in children and teenagers. Dr. Patel’s approach combines medication management with behavioral therapy, and she is dedicated to supporting families navigating the challenges of raising children with special needs. Since 2012, she has been a vital resource in the Dallas area, offering guidance and treatment that empower young patients and their families.

Dr. Kathleen Hall, MA, LPC

Kathleen Hall, MA, LPC, brings a wealth of experience to her role. With a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Adams State University and a B.S. in Social Psychology with a focus on abnormal psychology, Kathleen is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her diverse background includes serving in the military, working with US Customs, and supporting youth in foster care and at-risk environments. Recently relocated to Northern Idaho, Kathleen is enthusiastic about expanding her role. Kathleen is an exceptional addition to the team. She is dedicated to the therapeutic process and understands the nuances of parenting teenagers, drawing on her personal experience raising her own children. Outside of work, she enjoys family activities such as camping, hiking, and creative hobbies like digital scrapbooking.
